Ansley Park Real Estate Guide
Ansley Park is bordered on the east side by Piedmont Park, Atlanta’s "Central Park", and by Atlanta’s Botanical Gardens. To the west is Peachtree Rd. which has Rhodes Hall, the High Museum of Art and the Woodruff Arts Center Complex, home to the Atlanta Symphony and the Alliance Theater. All of these are within a short walk of Ansley Park.To the south is 14th street which has the Colony Square Hotel and the 14 St Playhouse. North of Ansley Park is an area called Brookwood Hills.
There are many shops, galleries, and restaurants all within a short walk of Ansley Park. Most of them are large two-three story traditional homes that were built between 1904 and 1930. Many grand homes with large gracious rooms and elegant appointments were built in this rolling tree lined area.
Ansley Park is on the National Historic Register. There is a private golf course in the neighborhood, the Ansley Golf Club. Many of the houses enjoy a beautiful view of the fairways. Ansley is really quite hilly which leads to some excellent views. There are also quite a few parks throughout the neighborhood. Ansley Park is also home of the prestigious Piedmont Driving Club.
There is a strong neighborhood association that has an informative website Ansley Park Neighborhood Association with a lot of information about the History of the neighborhood and articles about current events as well!
Ansley Park’s homes range from around $500,000 for a smaller fixer upper to $5,000,000 for the largest and most elegant.
