Morningside is a tree lined neighborhood with historic homes and a lot of hills and valleys. The streets meander and follow the contours of the land. There are a number of great neighborhood parks and crowds of joggers morning and evening. The neighborhood has a lot of kids, taking advantage of the excellent public schools.
The home styles are Classic Mansions, Victorian homes, Craftsman’s Bungalows, Brick Tudor Homes, Two story classic four squares and a few Southwestern Mission styled homes. They were mostly built between 1920 and 1940.
There have been extensive and elegant renovations and a lot of attic conversion and room additions. The neighborhood has appreciated steadily through all of Atlanta’s economic peaks and valleys and is currently some of the highest sales (In terms of price per square foot)

The new homes being built today are mostly between $900,000-1,250,000 with a few going over two million.
One of the big draws to the neighborhood is the excellent public elementary school, Morningside Elementary, It has an excellent reputation and is considered as good as many of the private schools in Atlanta! It has a very active PTA.
The neighborhood also has a strong community association and you can find them here: Morningside/ Lenox Park Community Association
