Virginia Highland Real Estate

Virginia Highland is a small but vibrant business district with fine restaurants, great antiques, gift shops, galleries, a truly remarkable hardware store, a classic Italian ice cream parlor, old time burger bars, coffee shops, bookstores and more…the list goes on and on. There are a lot of people who like to be within walking distance of "The Highlands" and the streets around this neighborhood are very popular indeed.
Most of the homes are a combination of Victorian and Craftsman’s Bungalows and Tudor homes (circa 1910-1930). The homes for sale range in price from around $300,000 at the very lowest (every now and then) for a small fixer upper, to $1.2-$2 million + for the biggest and best new homes.
There are many new infill homes being built in the area. Mostly they tend to be fairly pricey (million+) due to the high cost of lots in the area.
If you are searching for homes in this area, look at the Morningside page as well. The neighborhoods are side by side and there is some overlap. Morningside’s prices are somewhat higher, but there is some overlap in that regard as well!
This one was completed a couple of years ago and is an example of the new construction in the area.
