Ormewood Park is a small neighborhood of tree lined streets and historic homes located just east of Grant Park and is just west of East Atlanta. The area has lots of renovations and quite a few new infill homes. The homes were mostly built in the early part of the 20th century, with most of them going in between 1920 and 1940. There are bungalows both frame and brick, with a few Tudors and Victorians mixed in. A lot of the new homes are built with a older craftsman style and historic styled moldings and porches.
There are people out jogging and walking their dogs most afternoons and evenings and the neighborhood has a strong pride of ownership.The area is undergoing a great amount of building with a huge residential/ commercial developments in North Ormewwood where the Williams Brother’s Cement plant used to be. It has a great fairly new shopping center with a super Kroger and a variety of shops and restaurants.
